Real Time Inventory

With the item level real time inventory, the totals are calculated on the item level. This takes into account the purchase and sale time, as well as the inventory starting and ending time. With the Real Time Inventory feature activated, the following inventory and sales information can be viewed in real time:

• Buydowns
• Sales
• Write-Offs
• Purchases
• Price Changes
• On-hand quantity

The previous inventory calculation algorithm was not that precise because of the 'technical' shortages and overages that occurred in the gap between the inventory calculation start and the shift start. The real time calculation is more precise.

Activating Real Time Inventory

To activate the Real Time Inventory features:

1. Enable the Use real-time inventory option in CStoreOffice®.
1. Go to Data Entry > Dashboard > Station Options > Cash Register.
2. Select advanced.
3. Go to the Advanced section.
4. Select the Use Realtime Inventory option.
5. At the top right of the form, click Save.

   

2. Enable PJR files processing in CStoreOffice®.
1. Go to Data Entry > Dashboard > Station Options > Misc.
2. Open the Journal Settings section.
3. Select the Enable PJR processing option.
4. At the top right of the form, click Save.

Inventory Audit

All shifts, invoices, and price change tickets need to be accepted prior to conducting an inventory audit.

Write-Offs

To make the write-offs information take part in the real time inventory calculation, enter the write-offs time at Inventory > Write-Offs.

Purchases

To make the purchase invoices take part in the real time inventory calculation, enter the invoice acceptance time at Reports > Store > Pending Invoices > footer > Time.
