Entering Shifts Manually
When, for some reason, a shift is not pulled into CStoreOffice® from the cash register, you can do either of the following:
- Repull this shift from the cash register or enter the shift information manually. For details, see Repulling Shifts.
- Enter the shift's data manually. For details, see Entering Shift Manually.
If shifts are not pulled, it is often caused by a problem with the back-office computer connection.
As soon as you notice that there is a problem with your connection, please contact Petrosoft Support team, so that they can resolve the issue and prevent the loss of your data.
Different types of cash register can store a different amount of shifts in memory.
Register Type |
Shift data that can be retained |
---|---|
Gilbarco Passport |
1 week of shifts data |
Verifone Ruby |
3 shifts |
Verifone Sapphire |
1 year of shifts data |
Wayne Nucleus |
1 year of shifts data |
If the connection problem is solved before you are missing this amount of shift data, the shifts can be pulled over automatically. Otherwise, you need to manually enter your shift reports to ensure that your CStoreOffice® reports and accounting work properly.
Use the paper copy of the shift that you save when you close your shift to enter all the necessary data into this form.
