End-of-Life for Legacy Inventory Applications and Handhelds
To maintain data security and modernize the user experience, we are officially announcing the retirement of our legacy inventory management software and legacy barcode scan devices. The following products will no longer be supported after May 1, 2026:
To ensure uninterrupted service and access to the latest features of CStoreOffice®, migrate to Retail 360 Mobile, our flagship mobile store management and inventory solution, prior to the shutdown date.

- CipherLab 9700 Barcode Scanner: Complete Shutdown
After May 1, 2026, these devices will lose all connectivity to our servers and will be unable to sync data. - CStoreOffice® Mobile App: End of Support
The app will continue to work, but it will no longer receive updates. This means there will be no further security patches, bug fixes, or new features. While CStoreOffice® Mobile App may still open, we cannot guarantee its stability or its ability to function on newer mobile operating systems after this date.
Why This Change is Necessary
We are upgrading our global infrastructure to meet the highest international security standards, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022 compliance. These upgrades include:
- Enhanced data encryption: To protect your sensitive business data, we are disabling unencrypted HTTP connection in all our products. All communication between mobile devices and Petrosoft servers must now use HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- Hardware limitations: Legacy Windows-based handheld devices do not support modern security protocols and cannot be upgraded to meet these new encrypted communication requirements.
- Advanced authentication: We are transitioning to a more secure, unified login system that is incompatible with legacy software versions.
Retail 360 Mobile is the modern successor to Petrosoft legacy inventory tools. Introduced in 2024, the application was designed to replace earlier handheld and desktop-based inventory solutions with a universal, cloud-connected platform.
Built for modern iOS and Android devices, Retail 360 Mobile provides a faster, more secure, and more reliable way to centrally access and manage your Price Book, inventory data, POS systems, price poles, and other store devices from anywhere. It enables retailers to maintain accurate stock levels, keep pricing up to date, and improve operational efficiency across a single store or an entire network of stores.
Migrating to Retail 360 Mobile
To avoid any disruption to your inventory workflows, please complete the following steps before May 1, 2026:
- Audit your devices: Identify any staff members still using the legacy CStoreOffice® Mobile App app or older Windows-based handheld scanners.
- Download Retail 360 Mobile: Available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

No. All your back-office data, price book information, and inventory records are stored in the cloud and will remain intact. The migration only changes the mobile interface you use to manage that data.

We want to ensure that your daily routines remain uninterrupted. Retail 360 Mobile is designed to handle every task currently performed on your legacy handhelds, but with improved speed, better accuracy, and a more user-friendly interface.
