How to resolve connection statuses

DC-401 device is no longer available for purchase. It has been replaced by DC-420, which offers the same features and functionality. Since both models are identical from the user experience and UI part, they will be collectively referred to as the DC-400 series.

Introduction

The system monitors the statuses listed below and aggregates them to determine the connection status of the components in the location.

  • Connection with POS installed in the location.
  • Upload status of the shift and PJR files from the POS installed in the location to CStoreOffice®.
  • Connection with ATG, if it is used in the location.
  • Connection with LPA, if it is used in the location.

The system monitors the status of each component with periodicity ranging from 5 to 15 minutes. The periodicity depends on specifics for each component. You can learn about the specifics for each component in this section.

When the system detects an issue with a component for the first time, the system changes the status to Issue for this component with orange warning color for the status name and the component. Every issue features a period for resolution. If the issue persists beyond this period, the status changes to Offline with red alarm color for the status name and the component. The red status means either a confirmed loss of connection and aggravation of the issue severity.

Where to view the connection status?

The Cash Register widget on the home page allows you to view the aggregated status of the components in a specific location. In case of an issue with any component, the status icon left to the location name changes from green to red.

Hover the cursor over the icon to see the issue details. The status icon right to the component icon and the issue name are orange or red to show the Issue or Offline status for the component.

The Connection Status widget is another widget where you can view the aggregated status of the components in your location.
