Problem: An active user enters his or her authentication email and password, but cannot log into CStoreOffice®. The Invalid login or password message is displayed.

Solution: Reset the password following the steps below.

1. Go to www.cstoreoffice.com.
2. Go to CStoreOffice® sign-in form: at the top right of the page, click Log In.
3. In the CStoreOffice® sign-in form, click Forgot Password?.

   

4. In the Forgot Your Password? form, type your authentication e-mail and click Submit.

   
   Result: They system will automatically send an e-mail with the password reset link.

   If you have not found the email in inbox, check the spam folder.

   Please note that the password reset link expires within 24 hours. To request an email with new password reset link, repeat the steps from 1 to 4.

5. Follow the instructions given in the e-mail, to set a new password.

The password should meet the CStoreOffice® password requirements. For details, see Password Requirements.

Problem: The user is active, the Manager role is assigned, but the user experiences one of the following issues:

• The user cannot log into CStoreOffice®. The Invalid login or password message is displayed.
• The user has limited access to certain functionalities in CStoreOffice®. The Access Denied message is displayed.

Troubleshooting: Make sure the user has at least one location (station) assigned in the employee properties.

1. From the CStoreOffice® main page, go to Settings > General > Employees.
2. In the Employees list, find your user and click it.
3. In the Edit Employee form, go to Employee Setup > Login & Password.
4. In the Workplaces section, make sure there is at least one location in the right column.

   

   If this column is empty, add the locations (stations) to which the user must have the access and click Save

In CStoreOffice®, it is possible to grant a permission directly to the user. In this case, such permission overwrites the same permission from the user role.

To view the whole list of overwritten user permissions:

1. In the employees settings form, go to the Login & Password section.
2. Go to Role > Advanced.
3. Click Show overridden.
   Result: The whole list of the user overwritten permissions is displayed.

There is no need to assign each newly added location to an employee. If an employee has an access to the company with these locations, the access to all newly added locations is granted automatically.

To assign a company to an employee:

1. Go to the Employee Editing form.
2. In the Employee Editing, go to the Login & Password section.
3. In the Workplaces list, add the company you need to the right column.

   

4. At the bottom of the Employee Editing form, click Save.

Roles cannot be copies between accounts in CStoreOffice®.

To create the same set of roles as the other account has, you need to create each role from the scratch with the same role's permissions.

To use the CStoreOffice® home page:

1. Log in to CStoreOffice®. For more details, see Logging in to CStoreOffice®.
2. After logging in to the system, observe the CStoreOffice® home page. You can use the following sections and elements:

• CStoreOffice® logo: click the logo at the top left corner of the page to get back to the home page from any CStoreOffice® form.
• Cash Register: use this tab to accept shifts.
• Items Updates: use this tab to accept price, items, promo and other changes, and push these changes to the cash register.
• Merchandise: use this tab to accept invoices.
• Tasks and News: use these panes to get information about the latest tasks and company news.

To accept invoices in CStoreOffice®:

1. In the left pane of the CStoreOffice® home page, in the Merchandise, click the location name.
2. In the displayed form, in the Current Invoices list, select the invoice.
3. CStoreOffice® loads the data of the selected invoices at the bottom of the form. Check the invoice data and then click Accept.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 for all pending invoices.

If pin pads are disabled after the power loss:

1. On the pin pad, press the F and #1 buttons at the same time.
2. Enter the password and then press the green button to accept the password.
3. Press the down arrow button once to get to the Communication item, and then press the green button.
4. Enter the password again.
5. Press the down arrow button twice to get to the LAN Parameters item, and then select IP Address.
6. Write the new IP address of the pin pad down.
7. On the cash register, swipe to the General Info screen.
8. Open System Settings, enter the new address and tap Save.
9. To check if the system is up and running, go to General Info and make sure the pin pad is online.
10. If the pin pad is not online, on the right of the screen, tap the Refresh icon.
