Flow B: Set Up the Menu Manually
- Ready-to-serve items: Regular items from your price book, such as, for example, a chocolate bar, a cigarette pack, or the bottle of Coca-Cola.
- Recipe items: Items that consist of ingredients and may include nutrition information, ingredient sets, and add-ons. For example, sandwiches, hamburgers, pizzas, desserts and so on.
Please note that the recipe item ingredients are linked to the regular price book items. Whereas the nutrition information, ingredient sets, and add-ons can be added only to recipe items, but not to regular price book items.
You can set up a menu and its components in the system manually. As part of this process, you need to perform the following activities:
- Create a menu, its categories and subcategories
- Set up ingredients
- Set up ingredient sets
- Set up recipe items and add items to the menu
