DC-401 device is no longer available for purchase. It has been replaced by DC-420, which offers the same features and functionality. Since both models are identical from the user experience and UI part, they will be collectively referred to as the DC-400 series.
Prerequisites
Before you start the activation process, make sure that you have the following equipment:
- Laptop with Wi-Fi and Ethernet port
- Chrome browser
- Wireless router or unmanaged switch (in case a direct connection between DC-400 series device and laptop cannot be established)
- Location mapped out for DC-400 series device placement (where DC-400 series device is to be mounted)
- Cabling (the Ethernet cable should run from the main internet router to the location of DC-400 series device and DC-400 series device to POSClear access to the cash register
- Clear access to the cash register
- Configured POS for back-office communication
To activate DC-400 series device with the wizard, you must perform the following activities:
- Place DC-400 series device and connect it to power and the Internet.
- Launch the activation process.
- Activate DC-400 series device using DHCP.
- Specify POS settings.
- Perform verification.
- Review possible errors.
- Complete activation.
- Work with modules.
- Monitor data synchronization between the POS and BOS.
