What's New in SmartPOS: Release 3.24

Enhancement. SmartPOS now includes details on manufacturer coupon discounts in the PJR.

SmartPOS now adds detailed information about manufacturer coupon discounts to the POS journal files (PJR) that contain transaction details from your register. The discount data is sent to Petrosoft Cloud and then can be submitted to the manufacturer using the corresponding report.

A manufacturer coupon is a discount voucher issued by a product’s manufacturer. It allows customers to receive a discount on a specific product when purchasing it at a participating store. The retailer applies the discount at checkout and is later reimbursed by the manufacturer.

Enhancement. Added the step-by-step guide on the SmartPOS first run.

When you start the SmartPOS for the first time, you are guided through a series of helpful tips. These tips introduce the fundamentals of the user interface, helping you navigate and interact with the device more easily. If you are already familiar with the interface, you can tap the Next button to skip them.

Enhancement. SmartPOS now transfers the cash change amount to Petrosoft Cloud.

SmartPOS now informs Petrosoft Cloud of the change given to the customer when they pay more than the required sale amount. This information can be accessed in CStoreOffice® / Retail 360 through the Change Amount field of the Cash Register Journal report.

To have the transactions data populated in the report, make sure PJR files are enabled in CStoreOffice® and the cash register. For more information, see Enabling PJR Files.
