Since Adobe® has announced that Flash® Player® will be deprecated in December 2020, we have prepared several updates to the CStoreOffice® features that worked based on the flash player.
Flash dependency has been removed in CStoreOffice® as of 12/29/2020.
Although the basic workflows of all updated features remains unchanged, we recommend you to learn about updates in order to continue working with CStoreOffice® in the same way as before.
Docs Scanner
To continue using Docs Scanner, all you will need is to install a new Dynamsoft Service.
When Docs Scanner is run for the first time, make sure you have Administrator rights to be able to install the necessary software on the computer, including the Dynamsoft Service. The Administrator rights are not required for the subsequent runs of the tool.
The Dynamsoft Service component is required to handle the communication between the hardware (scanner, webcam, etc.) and the browser. After the installation, it will run and work quietly in the background each time the following actions is performed from the Docs Scanner:
- Scanning the documents via the scanner as a physical device.
- Taking a snapshot of the document via the camera.
The Dynamsoft Service component has been completely replaced the following previously used software:
- Adobe Flash Player
- Adobe Air
- CStoreOffice® Document Tool
UI Changes: Two new Custom Scan and Upload File buttons have been added instead of previous +Add button to the Docs Scanner > Document Information form.
- The Custom Scan button allows you to scan your document via the scanner or take a snapshot of it via the camera.
- The Upload File button allows you to upload the file with your document from your computer.
Docs Scanner supports for the following file formats: JPEG, PNG, and PDF.

Parent-Child Relationship
The Price Book Visualizer, which is used for setting up the parent-child relationship between items, has been updated in the following way:
- Dependency from the flash player has been totally removed.
- The interface has been refreshed to provide easier and quicker parent-child relationship setup.
