Assigning Order to Available Driver
In most cases the system suggests a driver for a projected order. However, you may need to assign an order to a driver manually in the following cases:
- For manually created orders.
- For unassigned orders. In some cases, the driver is not assigned automatically by the system.
- For order that are assigned to a driver, but the delivery time is between the shifts.
- If you want to change the already assigned driver.
You can assign an order only to the drivers from the truck terminal that serves the location where the order is delivered.
There are two ways to assign an order to a driver:
- On the Order form, in the Driver/Carrier box above the time scale. It is convenient when you create or review an order on the Order form and know exactly to which driver you want to assign it.
- On the Drivers form. Use this way if you want to review the drivers' schedule and select an optimal driver for the order.
How to assign order to available driver
- Go to Dispatchers > Drivers.
- If the Order switcher above the list of drivers is not selected, select it.
- Find the order on the Drivers form.
- Find an empty slot, unoccupied with orders, in the drivers' shifts (represented by green rectangles) for the time of the order, drag the order vertically and place it in the slot.
