Device Settings
You can manage the following SmartPOS device settings on the Systems tab:
- Locale: select the CR interface language.
- POS #: enter the POS device number to include it in printable reports and receipts.
- Drawers Quantity: select the number of cash drawers to be used with your device. If the double-drawer option is selected, there can be two pay points open for the CR at the same time.
- Region: select the device region.
- Time Zone: select the time zone in which the device is located.
- Swipe Sensitivity: adjust the swipe sensitivity of the device touchscreen.
- Login timeout: select the time period of inactivity after which the system logs the user out automatically. Select Never to keep the user logged in all the time.
- Local Currency: select the local currency for the SmartPOS terminal. You can change the local currency only if all Pay Points are closed at the terminal.
- Display Customer Experience Survey: Select this option to enable customers to rate their shopping experience by tapping the emoji icon on the SmartPOS customer-facing touchscreen at checkout.
- The setting only applies to SmartPOS terminals with customer-facing touchscreen and self-service SmartPOS devices.
- On self-service SmartPOS devices, customers are always prompted to rate their shopping experience, regardless of the Display Customer Experience Survey setting.
- To access aggregated performance score based on the collected customers' feedback, use Loss Prevention Analytics Risk Events Rating reports or Video Journal.
Star TSP100 printer is not supported with the double drawer option.
If this option is cleared, the customer experience survey will not be displayed.
Important considerations:
To apply the Locale, Region or Time Zone, restart the device after saving changes.
