Managing Touch Screen Keys

To adjust touch screen keys at the Verifone Commander cash register:

1. Log in to the Verifone Commander configuration client on your computer.

   

2. Select Store Operations > Touch Screen.

   

3. In the Load Register section, from the Register list, select the cash register at which you want to adjust keys and click Load. Do not leave the Default value in the Register list, or the screen configuration will be blank.

   

   The Copy Register Screens section can be used to copy the existing screen configuration to another cash register.

4. In the Screen Configuration section, from the Screen list, select the screen configuration you want to edit and press Load.

   

5. At the top of the view, click the User Panel tab.

   

6. Click the Preview/Edit button to display the touch screen.

   

7. Create a new department key:
1. In the Fuel Panel section, click the key you want to adjust. If you want to create a new department key, select any Not Used key.

   

2. In the right pane, from the Key Type list, select Department.
3. From the Department list, select the department you want to add.
4. Use the Select Button Color field to change the key color if needed.
5. Use the Line 1 and Line 2 fields to name the key appropriately.

8. Once you have finished with a key, click the Apply button.
9. Repeat steps a-e for any additional key mappings you want to create.
10. Once you have completed configuring all keys, click the Close button.
11. At the top right of the Touch Screen Configuration view, click the Save button to save the changes.
