Enabling Payments at Square Terminals

QwickServe integrates with Square terminals and allows your customers to pay at the terminals with cards when they place orders.

If you want to conduct online payments in QwickServe using the Square payment gateway, you will need to connect your Square account with the Petrosoft account.

The procedure below describes how to connect your Square account with the Petrosoft account.

Before following the procedure steps, make sure you are signed up with Square and have the username and password from the Square account.

Petrosoft does not collect or store any data on its servers and cannot access it. All information such as your private data, customers' private data and cards information is provided directly to Square.

To enable payments at Square terminals, you need to perform the following activities:

  1. Connect to the Square terminal in QwickServe Cloud.
  2. Configure Square terminal settings at the device.

Connecting to the Square Terminal in QwickServe Management Console

To connect to the Square terminal from the QwickServe Management Console:

  1. In a web browser, navigate to https://qwickserve.petrosoft.cloud.
  2. Click the Go to Management console button and log into the console using the same credentials as for the Petrosoft Cloud account.

  3. In the left menu, select Location Preferences > Payments.
  4. At the top right of the page, select the location for which you want to enable Square payments.
  5. In the Location payments processing form > Gateway for mobile payments processing list, select Square.

  6. Confirm changes.
  7. Go to the Square section and then click Connect with Square.

  8. Result: You are redirected to the Square authorization form.

  1. In the Square authorization form, specify the username and password of your Square account and click Log In.
  2. If you don't have the Square account yet, you need first to sign up with Square and then complete the sign in procedure.

  3. After Square processes the information, you will be redirected back to the QwickServe Management Console. If the accounts are successfully linked, you can see the following message: Merchant is connected.

  4. In the Square Location list, select the default location which will be bind it in Square to all existing and newly created locations in QwickServe in accordance with Square requirements.
  5. Confirm changes.

Configuring Square Terminal Settings at the Device

To connect to the Square terminal from the device and configure its settings:

  1. In the QwickServe Self-Ordering or Kitchen display app, access the administrative interface. You can do it in the following ways:
  • On the main screen, tap Preferences, Reports, Menu setup.

  • To get to the administrative interface from the ordering interface, at the top of the application (red bar), tap and hold for 5 seconds. On the login screen, tap the username and enter the PIN. By default, the PIN is 1111.

  1. In the left menu, tap Payments.
  2. Go to the Square Integration tab and make sure the following settings are configured:
  • The Square Addon status indicates Running.
  • The Allow contactless and card (Required) option is selected. With this option enabled, your customers will get an option to pay with a card when they complete an order at the device.
