Operational Panel (Find and Replace Tool)
The operation panel can be found at the top of many Price Book pages. It contains the Find and Replace tool that is used to perform the following operations with the Price Book elements:
- Searching for Price Book elements
- Filtering search results
- Making changes to many Price Book elements at once
- Customizing the search results:
- Sorting results
- Showing subtotals
- Showing or hiding columns

Opening Find and Replace Tool
To collapse or expand the Find and Replace tool, use the Operational Panel Switcher.
Searching for Price Book Elements
To search for the Price Book elements using the Find and Replace tool, follow the steps:
- In the Price Book elements table, expand the Find and Replace tool.
- At the left of the tool, click the Find section.
- For each field you want to find in the table, specify the following parameters:
- Field: Select the field based on which the search criteria should be specified
- Search operator: Select one of the following search operators:
- Like: Select this operator to find items with values similar to search values in the desired field
- Equal: Select this operator to find items that match the search value in the desired field
- Empty: Select this operator to find all the items for which there is no such entry in the desired field
- Exclude: Select this operator to find all items with no search value in the desired field
- More than: Select this operator it to find all items with values that are more than the search value in the desired field
- Less than: Select this operator to find all items with values that are less than the search value in the desired field
- Any: Select it to find all items with the desired field
- Search value: Enter the value by which you want to search
- (Optional) One more field - select the and or or value to add one more field based on which you want make a search. You can add more desired fields for searching in the following cases:
- Select and, to find items complying with several parameters
- Select or, to find items, for example, in two categories, but avoid making a search twice
- (Optional) Apply additional options to the search results in advance. For details, see Filtering Search Results.
- At the left bottom of the tool, click the Find button.
Filtering Search Results
To filter the search results, at the bottom of the Find and Replace tool, use any of the following options:
- Select/Deselect All: Use this option to select or deselect all the elements in the search list, do not use it as an additional search option
- Active Items Only: Select this option to display the active items only in the search results
- Items Not for Sale: Select this option to display the items not for sale in the search results
- Items Per Page: Select how many items in the search results you want to see in one page
Replacing Item Values
You can update many Price Book items at once, by replacing necessary item values with new ones.
To replace the item values with new values, using the Find and Replace tool, follow the steps:
- In the Price Book elements table, expand the Find and Replace tool.
- At the left of the tool, click the Replace section.
- For each field, which values you want to replace, specify the following parameters:
- Field: Select the field, which values you want to replace.
- Search operator: Select one of the following search operators:
- Like: Select this operator to find items with values similar to search values in the desired field
- Equal: Select this operator to find items that match the search value in the desired field
- Empty: Select this operator to find all the items for which there is no such entry in the desired field
- Exclude: Select this operator to find all items with no search value in the desired field
- More than: Select this operator it to find all items with values that are more than the search value in the desired field
- Less Than: Select this operator to find all items with values that are less than the search value in the desired field
- Any: Select it to find all items with the desire field
- Search value: Enter the value by which you want to search
- New value: In the to: field, enter a new value.
- (Optional) One more field - select the and or or value to add one more field, which values you want to replace
- At the left bottom of the tool, click the Find button.

Customizing Search Results
To customize the search results in the Find and Replace tool, use the following sections:
- Sort By: Click this section and then select the sorting criteria in the first turn, second, and/or third turns
- Subtotal: Click this section and then select the subtotal criteria in the first and/or second turns
- Fields to Show: Click this section, select the fields for displaying in the search results and then click Save Settings
