2D Barcode & Coupon Scanning

New feature. SmartPOS now recognizes 2D barcodes (QR codes / DataMatrix). SmartPOS now supports scanning 2D barcodes (such as QR codes and DataMatrix) directly at checkout for both merchandise and manufacturer coupons. The update is transparent - cashiers can ring up 2D-coded items just like traditional barcodes, and if a package displays both a standard barcode and a 2D barcode, the register automatically prevents accidental double-ringing. SmartPOS reads the expiration date embedded in the barcode and displays an instant alert if an item is past its date, allowing cashiers to remove it before completing the sale. Cashiers can also scan 2D manufacturer coupons at the register. The register instantly verifies qualifying items in the transaction, applies the correct discount, and displays clear on-screen prompts if a coupon is expired, already redeemed, or missing required items. |
