What's New in SmartPOS: Release 3.28

This article provides information about new features and improvements introduced in SmartPOS release version 3.28.

In addition to features listed below, the release also includes a number of stability improvements and fixes which do not extend the product functionality or change the user experience.

New features and improvements

Summary report

New feature.SmartPOS can generate and print a summary report based on daily operations.

SmartPOS can generate and print the aggregated report that provides a consolidated view of sales activity, transaction totals, and other key indicators for the selected time period.

The following details can be included in the report:

  • MOP Reconciliation: Summarizes sales and calculate totals by method of payment.
  • Tax Collection Summary: Provides a breakdown of collected taxes by type.
  • Promotion Report: Lists applied promotions to help evaluate promotional performance.
  • Department Sales: Shows sales totals by department, offering insight into category-level performance.
  • Fuel Sales: Displays fuel-related sales.
  • Item Sales: Provides detailed sales information for individual items, including quantities sold and total revenue.
  • Other Functions: Includes additional operational data, such as refunds, and other activities recorded during the day.

Summary report is available in SmartPOSReports screen. The report can be printed on the connected receipt printer.

Inventory management in stand-alone mode

New feature.You can now manage the inventory amount locally on the SmartPOS device.

If SmartPOS operates without a back-office connection, the inventory amount can be managed locally on the device.

The on-hand quantity of a sale item configured locally on SmartPOS is not synchronized with the back-office system. If you connect your SmartPOS to CStoreOffice®, these locally configured values will be overwritten.
