What's New in SmartPOS: Release 3.19

This page contains information about new features and major enhancements in the SmartPOS release version 3.19. In addition to features listed below, the release also includes a number of stability improvements and fixes which do not extend the product functionality or change the user experience.

New feature. Allows customers to rate their shopping experience.

SmartPOS terminals with customer-facing touchscreen and self-service SmartPOS devices enable customers to give feedback on their shopping experience by tapping the emoji icon on the SmartPOS customer-facing touchscreen at checkout.

To turn on this feature, select Display Customer Experience Survey option in the SmartPOS device settings.

Important considerations:

  • The setting only applies to SmartPOS terminals with customer-facing touchscreen and self-service SmartPOS devices.
  • On self-service SmartPOS devices, customers are always prompted to rate their shopping experience, regardless of the Display Customer Experience Survey setting.
  • To access aggregated performance score based on the collected customers' feedback, use Loss Prevention Analytics Risk Events Rating reports or Video Journal.
