What's New in Loss Prevention Analytics 25.2.0
This article provides information about new features and improvements introduced in Loss Prevention Analytics 25.2.0, released on November 27, 2024.
In addition to features listed below, the release also includes a number of stability improvements and fixes which do not extend the product functionality or change the user experience.
New features and improvements
Video stream selection
New feature. Added the ability to specify paths for the main and sub video streams. For optimal performance and minimized bandwidth usage during real-time video streaming, Loss Prevention Analytics requires that the compatible camera can broadcast at least two simultaneous video streams. While both streams deliver the same video content, they are optimized differently to balance quality and required bandwidth.
You can now directly specify the relative path to each video stream, making the solution compatible with almost any IP camera. These setting are optional. Loss Prevention Analytics will attempt to automatically determine the optimal configuration based on the camera's model. Read Configuring Camera Settings for details. |
Vertical video support
Enhancement. Added support for videos from vertically oriented cameras. The Loss Prevention Analytics automatically detects the video orientation and adjusts the video tile mosaic to optimally display portrait (vertical) videos. This guarantees a seamless viewing experience by aligning the video tiles correctly, without distortion or clipping, regardless of the camera’s orientation. |
