August release highlights

Back-Office

New

Currently the QwickServe menus, including categories and recipe items can be managed on both account and station levels.

QwickServe Terminal

New		Currently the QwickServe menus, items and ingredients are configured at CStoreOffice® side only.
Improved		The item's nutrition facts and order's special instructions are now displayed more conveniently at the ordering interface.

QwickServe QwickServe Order Manager

New		Currently the order can be marked as paid from the multiple orders view.
Improved		It is now possible to process orders from a long distance more effectively: - The delivery options are now displayed more clearly. - The color of the order's status is now displayed in the order's header.
Improved		It is now possible to open the detailed order view from the multiple orders view by pressing this order in the Pending list.

QwickServe April/2017

This section contains the information on the QwickServe software and hardware new features and changes in scope of the current version of the April/2017 release.

QwickServe Terminal

New		A new feature has been implemented. Currently the client's cart is displayed in the right pane throughout the ordering process. The cart shows complete information about each item in the order, including the number of calories and the state of made-to-order items selection. It is also possible to edit items directly from the cart.
New		A new feature has been added to the categories. It is now possible to add a custom description to the category. This description is then displayed at the ordering menu for the selected category.
New		A new feature has been implemented. Currently a client can select if he wants to dine in or take out his order. The client's choice is then displayed at KDU in the corresponding order.
New		A new feature has been implemented. It is now possible to switch to the Spanish and Russian interface languages in the administrative interface > Settings.
Changed		Improvement made to the way the promotions are added to the order. Currently if the order contains promo items, the corresponding promotion is displayed at the Add-ons & Special Offers tab and the promo slots are automatically filled with these items.
Changed		Improvement made to the printing feature. It is now possible to print documents on several printers simultaneously.
Changed		Improvement made to the time targeting feature. Currently the time targeting settings accepted on the terminal from backend are stored locally and applied to the menus without communicating to the Petrosoft Cloud.

QwickServe embedded

New

The QwickServe Embedded ordering interface has been actualized in accordance with the last QwickServe Terminal updates. The following features have been implemented:
- Currently cashiers can search for the items and use navigation buttons when placing the client's order.
- It is now possible to select if the client wants to dine in or take out his order. This option is displayed then at KDU in the corresponding order.
- The client's cart is now displayed in the right pane throughout the ordering process.

QwickServe QwickServe Order Manager

New		A new feature has been added to the way the orders are displayed. It is now possible to switch between the detailed order view and the multiple orders view.
New		A new feature has been implemented. It is now possible to specify the time after which the order becomes rush. The overdue time is displayed at the order.
Changed		Improvement made to the way of processing a large number of orders. KDU performance has been optimized to process orders more effectively.

Back-Office

New		A new feature has been added to the categories. It is now possible to add a custom description to the category. This description is then displayed at the terminal in the ordering menu for the selected category.
Changed		Improvement made to the QwickServe reports. The Merchandise Orders report is now available for QwickServe users at the Reports > Store.
Changed		A warning message has been added to the Ingredient form. It informs the user about saving the custom unit of measurement (not selected from the list) as the "piece" measure type.

Hardware

Changed		Improvement made to the QwickServe terminal performance. The navigation speed of the categories at the ordering menu has been increased by 50-100%.
Changed		Improvement made to the process of interaction between QwickServe devices and SmartPOS. It is now possible to use SmartPOS via DCBox as well as other types of cash registers.

QwickServe 3.2

User Interface New Items, Changes, Improvements

This section contains the information on the QwickServe software and hardware new features and changes in scope of the current release version - 3.2.

QwickServe Terminal

New		A new feature has been added to the ordering menu. It is now possible to use paging buttons to navigate through the menu.
New		A new feature has been added to the rooted devices only. New buttons have been added in the administrative interface and at the Terminal Service Console to exit QwickServe Terminal application for getting technical support or in case of other maintenance issues. It is not possible anymore to exit QwickServe Terminal application at the Customer's panel when ordering food.
Changed		Several usability improvements made to the terminal interface: - Currently adding items to Favorites and giving special instructions to the items is possible directly at the ordering list before completing the order. - It is now possible to turn on animation for the ordering menu at Terminal Settings. - “Add to Order” button has been removed from the ordering menu.
Changed		Made-to-order items ordering interface has been improved: - Item is now added to the ordering list right away after finishing its configuration. The Done button has been removed from the food ordering menu. - The partitioning control has been simplified for more convenient parts selection in a set.
Changed		The customer's Loyalty points are now shown and calculated at QwickServe Terminal.
Changed		Improvement made to the Favorites feature. Currently if the active menu doesn’t contain the item from Favorites, this item is not displayed in Favorites as well.
Changed		Improvement made to the process of reports generation. Currently orders, which are processed and printed from QwickServe terminal only without sending to QwickServe Order Manager, are also included into all relevant reports.
Changed		Improvement made to the process of working with several QwickServe terminals at once. Currently the numbers of all orders are synchronized via DC Box to prevent collisions.
Changed		Minor improvement made to the form for linking Price Book items to ingredients. A message has been added to notify the user that units of measure of an ingredient and price book item must have the same type - weight, volume or unit/piece.

QwickServe QwickServe Order Manager

Changed		Improvement has been made to the process of printing receipts. It is now possible to reprint the order receipts from the History tab.
Changed		Improvement made to the process of interaction with SmartPOS. Currently when canceled on SmartPOS, QwickServe order is automatically canceled on QwickServe Order Manager.

Back-Office

New		Automatic nutrition calculation has been enabled for the Recipe Items. Currently when you select the automatic method of nutrition calculation, the recipe nutrition facts are calculated automatically. The total number of calories is displayed at the Recipe Item image.
Changed		Improvement made to the Recipe Items list. Currently PLU is also displayed under the item's name together with UPC.

QwickServe 3.1

User Interface New Items, Changes, Improvements

This section contains the information on the QwickServe software and hardware new features and changes in scope of the current release version - 3.1.

QwickServe Terminal

Changed		Minor improvements made to the process of adding made-to-order items order: It is now possible to select the next set only when the previous set is completed. The set adding tip is now red by default and switches to green when set is completed. Made-to-order item is now added to the order automatically when Done is pressed.
Changed		Improvement made to the process of tier prices setting up for set ingredients. It is now possible to set up global tier prices for all ingredients in a set in the QwickServe terminal administrative interface > Menu > Sets.
Changed		Performance improvement has been made at QwickServe terminal. It now takes less time to switch between ingredients, recipe items and categories.

QwickServe embedded

Changed		The network printers are now supported at Settings > Devices. The StarMicro SmartPOS model of the network printer can be configured to print the kitchen tickets only.
Changed		Improvement made to the device settings. Currently the network printers can be added and configured at Settings > Devices.

Back-Office

Menu		A new time targeting feature has been added to the menus. Different menus can switch automatically now on QwickServe terminal during the day and / or week, depending on their active period settings configured at the back-office side.
Menu		Improvement made to the process of tier prices setting up for set ingredients. It is now possible to set up global tier prices for all ingredients in a set at the QwickServe module > QwickServe > Sets.

QwickServe 3.0

User Interface New Items, Changes, Improvements

This section contains the information on the QwickServe software and hardware new features and changes in scope of the current release version - 3.0.

QwickServe Terminal

Changed		Improvement made to the PLU field. PLUs are currently limited to 5 symbols when item is created or edited.
Changed		Improvement made to QS terminal. A debug panel for QA and IT has been added for more efficient troubleshooting.
Changed		Several improvements made to terminal themes. Themes look has been improved. Additionally, they now allow more customization - a custom logo can be added at customer's request.
Changed		Usability improvement made to all long lists of items, ingredients ect. It is now possible to turn on pagination for such long lists at Settings > Terminal Settings.
Changed		Improvement made to the form for creating / editing recipe items. Now it's possible to hide base ingredients from the ordering interface.
Changed		Improvement has been made to the way the loyalty points are handled. Currently loyalty points and discounts can be processed by terminal independently without a cash register.

QwickServe QwickServe Order Manager

New		A new feature has been added. It is now possible to print kitchen tickets.
Changed		Improvement made to QS Prep station workflow. Multiprepstation support is now available. Currently it is possible to send items within one order to different prep stations based on the food type of other characteristics.
Changed		Improvement made to the device settings. It is now possible to add and configure printers, and map document types to the specific printers.

Back-Office

Menu		A new feature has been added to the back-office side. It is now possible to assign recipe items to specific locations at the Locations tab on the form for editing / creating recipe items.
Menu		A new "Accept Changes" button for pulling changes made at QS terminal has been added at QwickServe menu setup.
Menu		Improvement made to the process of working with QwickServe categories and items. It is now possible to unassign category and item images. Once unassigned, they are not deleted from the system. You can still find them in Media Library.
Menu		Usability improvement made to the process of working with recipe items. It is now possible to reorder recipe base and set ingredients, and add-ons by dragging and dropping them while editing a recipe item.
Menu		Improvement made to the process of working with ingredients while managing recipe items. It is now possible to select an option to make the base ingredients hidden.
Menu		Fixed an issue with items reordering within categories by dragging and dropping.
Reports		A new Plate Costing report has been added to QwickServe reports.
Reports		The following QwickServe reports are now available in CStoreOffice®: Gross Profit Report Inventory Report Reconciliation Report Loyalty Report Shift Report
QS Web		Improvement made at the Web ordering part of QwickServe. The customer's phone number is now validated from the point of US format.
Other		Fixed an issue with accepting changes taking long time.
