Taxes Types Explanation
Percent: Select one of the following rounding types:
- Truncate: The tax value is truncated to two decimal points. For example, 4.11232 is truncated to 4.11.
- Up on 1/2: Half-way values are rounded up. For example, 4.50 and more is rounded up to 5.00.
- Up on Any: Any values are rounded up. For example, all values more than 4.01 are rounded up to 5.00.
Taxes are applied to each item and then summarized. For example, a tax of 6.4% is applied to 50 items at a retail price of $2.00 in the following way:
- The amount of tax for 1 item = 6.4% * $2.00 = $0.128. This value is truncated to $0.12.
- The amount of taxes for 50 items = 50 * $0.12 = $6.00.
