APPLYING SCAN DATA LOYALTY PROMOTION AT gilbarco passport

For the Gilbarco Passport cash registers, the phone number that confirms the scan data loyalty promotion can be entered only by a customer on the PIN pad.

Warning! Entering a phone number by a cashier on the cashier screen is forbidden by Gilbarco.

To know how the customer's phone may be entered to confirm the scan data loyalty promotion, follow these cases:

• Case 1: PIN Pad is not connected

• Case 2: PIN Pad is connected + Enter phone number on PIN Pad at any time

• Case 3: PIN Pad is connected + using Pay

Additionally, you can check a balance for the customer's Loyalty ID by printing the check with the customer's phone number from the cash register. For details, see How to check a balance for Customer Loyalty ID.

Case 1: PIN Pad is not connected

If PIN Pad is not connected, no phone number can be entered due to Gilbarco restrictions.

Case 2: PIN Pad is connected + Enter phone number on PIN Pad at any time

To enter the customer's phone number when PIN Pad is connected, follow these steps:

1. Add items to the shopping cart by doing as follows:

• scan each item using a bar code
• otherwise enter the item's UPC code manually

2. To apply a scan data loyalty promotion to the promoted items, click on Loyalty ID.

The form “Enter Petrosoft ID?” is shown on the screen. Click on “Yes” to continue.

3. In the “Enter Petrosoft ID” click on “Manual”.

4. Type in a phone number on PIN Pad.

5. Cash Register communicates with Loyalty Host. If loyalty promotion is triggered, Loyalty Host sends back discounts

6. Complete the transaction.

Case 3: PIN Pad is connected + using Pay

Notice. This case can be applied only if Promps ► POS prompt at tender = “Always” option is selected in the Loyalty Configuration settings at the Gilbarco Passport cash register.

To enter the customer's phone number when PIN Pad is connected, do as follows:

1. Add items to the shopping cart by completing these steps:

• scan each item using a bar code scanner
• otherwise enter the item's UPC code manually

2. Complete the transaction by clicking on Pay.

The web form “Enter Petrosoft ID?” is shown on the screen. Click on “Yes” to continue.

3. Repeat steps 3-6 from Case 2.
