Viewing Shifts for the Location

To view the summary of shift reports for a location, on the CStoreOffice® home page, in the Shift Reports section, click the name of the location.

The shifts for the location are displayed in a new window.

The shifts are grouped into four sections:

  • Pending Shifts: All shifts that have been pulled from the location cash register and are waiting to be reviewed and accepted. Data from them is not used in CStoreOffice® yet. The number of pending shifts must be kept as low as possible to ensure timely data update.
  • Accepted Shifts: The latest accepted shifts. Data from these shifts is already used in CStoreOffice®.
  • Rejected Shifts.
  • Last Shift Processed.

For pending and accepted shifts, the following information is presented:

Column Description
Shift The shift sequence number for the day.
Shift# The identification number generated by the cash register to keep track of the shift reports.
Date Date and time range that the shift covers.
AVG Scan Rate The percentage of items that are scanned at the register as opposed to being entered into the register as an open department sale. For inventory purposes it is crucial to have the items scanned.
Voids The dollar amount of sales that were voided during the shift.
No Sales The number of “No Sales” transactions rung up on the register during the shift.
Customer count The number of customer transactions on the register during that shift.
Refunds The amount of money that was refunded at the register during the shift.
Cancels (Error Corrections) The dollar amount of error corrections at the register during the shift.

The shift information may be highlighted with different shades of pink (red). Highlights indicate issues that require the manager's attention. The shade depends on the severity of the issue: the darker is the color, the more serious is the issue.

To review and accept a shift, click it in the Pending section. If you want to view or undo an accepted shift, click it in the Accepted section. The shift report opens on the same page below the four sections under the Current Shift heading.
