This section describes the specifics of accessing and interpreting the GPM Range Management report.

Opening the Report

To open the report, from the CStoreOffice® main page, go to Price Book > Category > GPM Range Management.

Viewing and Configuring GPM Ranges

GPM Range Management report provides information on the gross profit margin ranges for various item categories. To build a report, select the desired Location or Location Tag:

  • Select Location to have the report results broken down by stations.
  • Select Location Tag to have the report results broken down by item tags, and specify the filtering option (Tag) of the second dimension to have the results further broken down by the following parameters: Division, Company, Supervisor, Location, Store Size, Brand - Gasoline, Brand - Store, Property Type, Price Zone, Type.

Click any category / location cell to set the GPM range settings:

  • GPM From: The lowest GPM range value for the specified parameters.
  • Target GPM: Defines the specific margin percentage used to calculate the proposed retail price (between 0.01 and 99.99).
  • GPM To: The highest GPM value for the specified parameters.
  • Enable Auto GPM Following: Activates automated retail calculations for items in the category.
  • Rounding Rule: Applies customer-specific retail price endings, including fixed endings (x.99, x.49, x.50, x.55, x.09) and nearest-increment rounding (nearest 0.05 and nearest 0.10).
  • Minimum GPM Deviation Threshold: Sets a percentage-point threshold (e.g., 0.25) to prevent price changes for minor or fractional cost fluctuations.

The system requires that GPM From is less than Target GPM and both values are less than GPM To. Negative deviation threshold values are not permitted.

Category GPM settings are established per Location. Modifying category settings does not automatically alter historical invoices, but immediately affects future EDI imports and manual invoice lines.
