Setting Up the Data Export

To set up the data export with the Data Ventures Export report:

  1. In the Transport section, configure the transport method that must be used to deliver the exported data to the necessary destination:
  2. In the Type list, select FTP or SFTP.
  3. In the Host field, specify the host name of the FTP or SFTP server.
  4. In the Path field, specify a path to the folder in which the exported data must be stored.
  5. In the User Name and Password fields, specify credentials that must be used to access the FTP or SFTP server.
  6. After all transport settings are configured, click Check Connection. The connection check status will be displayed to the right of the link.

  7. In the Report Settings section:
  8. Select the reports whose data is to be exported:
  • Transactions
  • Products
  • Sales
  • Locations
  1. Select the data sets to be included into exported reports:
  • Merchandise Sales
  • Fuel Sales
  • Department Sales
  1. Select additional columns, if needed, to be added to the reports:
  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Transaction Type
  • Product Type

  1. In the Send / Period section, specify a schedule for report generation per every week day:
  2. In the Day list, select a specific weekday or Every day.
  3. In the Time field, select the time when the report must be generated.
  4. In the Period list, select the period for which the report must be generated. The period from Last day to Last 12 days can be selected.

  5. In the Export from Locations section, select the locations from which the data must be exported:
  6. Click the locations list, to expand it.
  7. Select the locations you need.
  8. Click Accept.

  9. At the top of the report's form, click Save Settings.
