The following flow is recommended for setting up Qwickserve the first time:

Step 1: Create the new menu |
Create one or several menus to switch between if necessary, customize the menu look by requesting a custom theme if necessary. |
“Regular” and “Holiday” menus are created. |
Step 2: Create the menu structure using categories |
Create the menu “skeleton”. |
“Breakfast”, “Lunch” and “Dinner” categories are created. |
Step 3: (Optional) Create subcategories within categories |
Continue creating the menu structure by adding subcategories. |
“Sandwiches”, “Salads” and “Soups” subcategories within the “Lunch” category are created. |
Step 4: Populate subcategories with existing items (if available) |
Continue creating the menu structure by adding the existing items to the subcategories. |
Existing items “Cola” and “Sprite” assigned to the “Soft Drinks” category. |
Step 5: Set up ingredients |
Create ingredients. |
Ingredients “Mozzarella” and “Cheddar” are created. |
Step 6: Set up sets of ingredients |
Create sets of ingredients. |
Set of ingredients “Sauces” and “Cheeses” are created. |
Step 7: Create made-to-order items |
Create recipe items. |
Recipe item “Royal Cheeseburger” is created. |
Basically, Qwickserve is configured for the whole account. You can further adjust a number of settings for each station separately. There are also some separate settings configured for the stations only.
