Merchandise Code Movement (MCM) report

In this section, the following information about the MCM (Merchandise Code Movement) report's data is presented:

This information becomes accessible through the Business Documents API after shifts are accepted in CStoreOffice®.

MCM Settings in CStoreOffice®

MCM data contains department sales totals. In CStoreOffice®, MCM data can be found in the following forms:

  • Shift Header

  • Department Totals from PLU Sales Section

  • Department Totals from Price Change Totals

These forms can be opened from the CStoreOffice® main page > select a location > Pending shifts > select a shift. For more information, see Understanding Shift Reports.

MCM Data Mapping Table

MCM data from the above forms is converted to XML data according to the MCM Data Mapping Tables which are presented below.

XML Example with MCM Data

This XML example contains data for first two departments, another departments are omitted.

MCM Data Export with the Business Documents API

To export the XML files with the Merchandise Code Movement (MCM) report via the Business Documents API:

  1. Prepare the location (station) or company identifier as the input data.
  2. Start calling the API from the /business-unit-level-resources endpoint.
  3. Use shift_merchandise-code-movement as the Document type identifier value.
