Setting Up Ingredient Method of Accounting

There are two following ways to set up IMOA in CStoreOffice®:

• Without recipes. This method has the following characteristics:
• Easy to set up.
• No GPM on the item level.
• GPM calculated manually on the Category/CR Department level.
• Inventory is not taken on IMOA items.
• Using recipes. This method has the following characteristics:
• Labor intensive to set up and maintain.
• GPM on the item level and Category/CR Department level with no manual calculation.
• Inventory can be taken on IMOA items.

To set up the Ingredient Method of Accounting in CStoreOffice®, you need to perform the following actions:

1. Set up the IMOA category.
2. Set up the IMOA department.
3. Set up the IMOA items.
4. Set up the parent-child relationship between IMOA items, if needed.
