The Department Type section of the CR Department form specifies the income type for a given CR department. This information is used to separate inside store sales from the other items sold in the store such as Lottery and Money Orders
The following types are supported:
- Store - a department set up for store sales. In the CR Departments list, you can identify store and non-store CR departments easily, using the Custom Type column values:
- Custom Type = Yes for all non-store CR departments
- Custom Type = No for all store CR Departments
- Fuel: Department set up for fuel sales.
- Car Wash: Specific car wash department set up for car wash items.
- Not for Resale: Marks the departments used for store supplies, etc.
- Money Orders: Specific department used for account on money ordering sales.
- Lottery Instant Sales
- Lottery Instant Paydouts: If you select this department type, make sure the Allow Direct Sales and Is Negative options are selected for this department. These settings provide correct Scanned value in the PLU Sales Report > Department Sales section. For details, see PLU Sales Report.
- Lottery Online Net Sales
Select one of specific lottery departments used for processing lottery games & payouts only, or choose Store to mark the department as a non-lottery department.
- Other Income - sets up a department for services unrelated to inside store sales, such as rest stop showers, Western Union etc. To configure an additional type of custom income, go to Related Information > Custom Income Setup.
If you select the Other Income type, in the field next to it, specify the value other than No Income Type. Otherwise, your settings do not save.
